===== Lost-and-Found =====

No mere closet of recently-misplaced trinkets and baubles, the Lost-and-Found is more like a [[sal-lostnfound-museum|museum]] of objects both recent and ancient whose ownership is indeterminate or which are owned by the department through donation, salvage rights, or occasionally purchased outright by the department itself.

The do //also// have a closet full of recently-misplaced trinkets and baubles, incidentally, but only as a part of their overall purpose. Morally-proper people will bring apparently-lost trinkets, money, and occasionally children for their owners/guardians to come and find them. Unclaimed objects for a sufficiently-long period become property of the College of History and Esoteric Studies.
(Unclaimed children go to one of the official orphanages).
