The Pit (Of Knowledge)

This is the department that studies what they think of a pure knowledge - linguistics, logic, mathematics, and other forms of abstract philosophy.

They're actually headquartered in a serviceable but somewhat neglected old cottage at the edge of town. Instruction is typically peripatetic.

They do have quite a lot of written material to work with, but it's almost all kept at the library.
