The Digs

A nondescript stone building, sign out front with no words, depicting a pick and shovel.

A pub popular with laborers and miners towards the western end of the main town. The atmosphere is usually subdued and relatively quiet - the patrons are mostly people who do hard labor of one form or another for a living and they are too tired to be loud when they show up after work to relax a bit. They won't take kindly to serious disturbances, but they're not unfriendly.

The inside is equally undecorated. Plain, worn wooden tables and benches, most of which have been crudely but effectively repaired multiple times. Barely-literate graffiti scratched into many tabletops and some walls (“Bob wuz her”[sic] and such). Overall the place is about as dirty as it can be without crossing over into outright unsanitary.

There's a bar with barrels of cheap but generally tolerable ale. The rather hefty proprietor pulls the corks out, picks them up, and pours directly from them.

Proprietor: Bubba Stone
